Description

  • Architect mobile experiences for DDIL and other constrained network environments.
  • Improve reliability across connectivity, synchronization, recovery, and failure scenarios.
  • Own crash-free performance and release-health outcomes using telemetry and production data.
  • Profile and optimize startup, networking, storage, rendering, memory, and battery performance.
  • Maintain iOS and Android integrations, including push notifications, background execution, secure storage, lifecycle, and real-time communications.
  • Manage mobile distribution and device-management requirements, including App Store, enterprise, MDM, AppConfig, and Intune MAM deployments.
  • Diagnose production issues using native traces, telemetry, device profiling, and field logs.
  • Recommend mobile architecture improvements balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform direction.
  • Mentor engineers and uphold security, compliance, open-source, and quality standards.
  • Use AI coding tools effectively while applying engineering judgment to maintain reliable outcomes.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in iOS or Android development and strong working knowledge of the other platform.
  • Strong understanding of mobile architecture, platform SDKs, lifecycle constraints, and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience building reliable mobile systems for unreliable connectivity, local state changes, synchronization, and recovery.
  • Strong mobile performance profiling and production debugging skills on real devices.
  • Experience using crash metrics, production data, and release-health signals to improve reliability.
  • Experience making architecture recommendations and owning technical outcomes.
  • Ability and willingness to work across native and cross-platform codebases.
  • Experience using AI coding agents to increase engineering output while maintaining quality.
  • Experience with React Native and TypeScript (preferred).
  • Experience with offline-capable systems, WebRTC or mobile media frameworks, enterprise distribution/MDM, security-sensitive environments, or open-source projects (preferred).
  • Ability to meet U.S. government security-clearance and export-control eligibility requirements, including EAR and ITAR access.
