Description

  • Own multiplatform engineering strategy across Android and shared Kotlin Multiplatform layers.
  • Lead complex, multi-quarter features from architecture and design through deployment and refinement.
  • Define engineering principles and architectural patterns for shared logic, Compose Multiplatform UI, and state management.
  • Partner with platform teams to establish shared contracts, standards, and UI components.
  • Drive technical decisions with product, design, and executive stakeholders.
  • Improve software quality, testing, operational metrics, and build-system health.
  • Mentor engineers across levels and promote continuous learning.
  • Lead incident resolution through the on-call rotation and remove cross-team blockers.
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and raise quality standards across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years building highly scalable, consumer-facing Android applications, including senior staff-level technical leadership.
  • Expert-level Kotlin, including coroutines, flows, language idioms, and best practices.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform in large, multi-module codebases.
  • Strong experience with MVI and reactive architecture patterns.
  • Expertise with Gradle, convention plugins, dependency management, and build performance.
  • Experience with CI/CD, SDK versioning, and automated mobile release management.
  • Hands-on experience with Compose and Compose Multiplatform and strong Android platform knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions to engineers, executives, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience improving Agile/SCRUM processes and delivery across large-scale teams.
  • Preferred: Compose Multiplatform across Android, iOS, desktop, or other targets; KSP, Koin, feature flags, observability, distributed systems, or event-driven architecture.

  • Salary range of $204,250–$268,750 USD, varying by geographic compensation zone.
