Description

  • Collaborate with product, design, data, and engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, performant features across the application stack.
  • Write documented code for Roo’s React Native mobile app and backend services.
  • Contribute to technical designs and architectural decisions.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor early-career engineers.
  • Own feature testing with Jest unit tests and Cypress end-to-end tests.
  • Investigate production issues, improve observability, and support platform reliability.
  • Partner with DevOps and infrastructure teams on deployments, CI/CD, and system performance.
  • Identify and implement improvements to tools, processes, and technologies.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Experience with React Native or another mobile development framework.
  • Experience with Node.js, Express, React, AWS, and relational databases.
  • Proficiency writing complex and efficient SQL queries.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to high ethical standards.
  • Experience at a growing or early-stage startup preferred.
  • Computer Science or related degree preferred.

  • Salary ranges from $115,000–$195,000 USD depending on location, skills, and experience.
