Description

  • Drive POS merchant acquisition and new business development for Moniepoint's products and services.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach.
  • Create and execute marketing and sales strategies to meet revenue and acquisition targets.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Manage and maintain current business relationships to support retention and growth.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, customer needs, and selling possibilities.
  • Hold daily sales team meetings, review prior performance, and plan weekly priorities.
  • Represent the company at market storms, community fairs, trade fairs, and other cluster marketing events.
  • Prepare and deliver product and service presentations to prospects and customers.
  • Gather customer and prospect feedback and share insights with internal teams.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of in-depth sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
  • Experience in marketing or sales within the banking sector, especially onboarding and managing merchants.
  • Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporates is an added advantage.
  • Good network of enterprise merchants is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Tertiary education from a recognised institution.
