Description

  • Drive business development and solicit new business through customer acquisition for the bank’s products and services.
  • Acquire merchants and identify new business growth opportunities.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Source sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach.
  • Create marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct daily sales team meetings, review prior-day performance, and plan weekly activities.
  • Manage and maintain current business relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and assess customer needs.
  • Participate in market storms, community fairs, cluster marketing events, and trade fairs.
  • Prepare and deliver product and service presentations.
  • Collaborate with team members and share customer or prospect feedback with internal teams.
  • Understand customer financial needs and recommend appropriate financial products or services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-5 years of in-depth sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
  • Experience in marketing and sales within the banking sector, with emphasis on onboarding and managing merchants.
  • Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporates is an added advantage.
  • Good network of enterprise merchants is an advantage.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thought process.
  • Ability to execute goals independently with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Tertiary education from a recognised institution.
  • Must be resident in Ebonyi State.
