Description

  • Drive business development and acquire new customers for the bank’s products and services.
  • Cross-sell banking products and services to existing and prospective merchants.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media outreach.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Hold daily sales team meetings, review prior performance, and plan weekly priorities.
  • Manage and maintain current business relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities and assess customer needs.
  • Participate in market storms, community fairs, cluster marketing events, and trade fairs.
  • Prepare and deliver product and service presentations to prospects and customers.
  • Gather customer and prospect feedback and share insights with internal teams.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of in-depth sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
  • Experience in marketing or sales within the banking sector, with emphasis on merchant onboarding and management.
  • Experience selling lending services and merchant POS devices to corporates is an added advantage.
  • Good network of enterprise merchants is an added advantage.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to execute goals independently with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Tertiary education from a recognised institution.
  • Must be resident in Abia State.
