Description

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies, and clearly communicate business value to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sales executives and cross-functional sales teams to support account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and deal execution.
  • Own the technical portions of the sales process, including technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Help customers solve business problems by applying MongoDB solutions across software design, deployment, and operations.
  • Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry events, and account-based marketing activities.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop customer champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve MongoDB solutions and processes by relaying field feedback to the product team.
  • Continue learning MongoDB products, industry trends, and modern architecture practices.
  • Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and contribute to team development.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, including at least 3 years in enterprise software pre-sales or customer-facing roles.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, or popular programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience reviewing complex existing application architectures and recommending improvements using technology.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical and business concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work strategically with sales teams to execute an end-to-end deal cycle.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications on major cloud providers (preferred).
  • Technical pre-sales experience (preferred).
  • Experience with database programming and data models (preferred).
  • Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects (preferred).
  • Understanding of sales methodologies or frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message (preferred).
  • MongoDB certification or cloud provider certification such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
  • Ability to work remotely in South Korea and commute to the Seoul office when needed.
