Description

  • Design scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure using MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
  • Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and technical strategy.
  • Own technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
  • Provide product feedback, improve solutions and processes, and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
  • Maintain product and industry knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

  • 8–11 years of related customer-facing experience, ideally including 5–7 years in enterprise software pre-sales.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience reviewing complex application architectures and recommending technology improvements.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to develop multi-threaded account strategies with sales teams and coordinate internal and ecosystem resources.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred: experience with databases, major cloud providers, data models, data engineering, AI/ML, legacy modernization, MEDDPICC, or Command of the Message.
  • Preferred: MongoDB or cloud provider certification.
