Description

  • Design scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB solutions.
  • Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and technical strategy.
  • Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Generate demand through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
  • Provide product and process feedback to MongoDB teams and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
  • Maintain ongoing product and industry knowledge through training and professional development.

Requirements

  • 8–11 years of related customer-facing experience, ideally including 5–7 years in pre-sales for enterprise software.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience evaluating complex application architectures and recommending technology improvements.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop multi-threaded account strategies with sales teams and coordinate internal and ecosystem resources.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Preferred: experience selling databases, deploying applications on major cloud providers, or working with database programming and data models.
  • Preferred: experience in data engineering, AI/ML, legacy modernization, sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, or MongoDB/cloud certifications.
