Description

  • Architect and build responsive, accessible Service Portal and AIUX experiences, including custom widgets and scoped applications.
  • Translate high-fidelity designs into polished, responsive user interfaces.
  • Lead discovery, technical design, estimation, demonstrations, and customer delivery discussions.
  • Design and build AI applications and agentic workflows using LLM platforms, enterprise APIs, and customer data.
  • Implement retrieval, tool calling, structured outputs, human review, testing, evaluation, observability, and failure handling.
  • Integrate frontend experiences, backend services, ServiceNow, and external enterprise systems.
  • Own deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, operational handoff, technical risks, scope, and quality.
  • Evaluate AI quality, security, latency, and cost, selecting AI or deterministic automation appropriately.
  • Develop reusable components and delivery patterns, review code, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial web development, ServiceNow development, and customer-facing technical leadership.
  • Experience architecting and delivering complex Service Portal solutions with JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, frontend architecture, state management, and API integration.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, server-side scripting, scoped applications, data models, access controls, and integrations.
  • Ability to balance configuration and customization for upgradeability and long-term maintainability.
  • Full-stack experience with backend services, APIs, and cloud deployment.
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications or agentic workflows for reliable production use.
  • Knowledge of prompting, context management, retrieval, tool use, structured outputs, evaluation, and enterprise data protection.
  • Strong judgment regarding accessibility, performance, maintainability, and permissions across retrieval and tool execution.
  • Clear communication with business and technical stakeholders and ability to turn ambiguous requirements into software.
  • CCA-F certification or commitment to earn it shortly after joining.
  • Preferred: experience with Claude, Anthropic APIs, MCP, Python, modern frontend frameworks, automated testing, CI/CD, Now Assist, ServiceNow AI Agents, enterprise search, or CSA/CAD certifications.
