Description

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal data teams and data products.
  • Build and scale data products such as pipelines, datasets, reports, dashboards, APIs, ML models, playbooks, and frameworks.
  • Partner closely with Product and Technology teams to understand workflows, business processes, user stories, and pain points.
  • Prioritize solutions that deliver measurable business impact while balancing quick wins with long-term innovation.
  • Define metrics and KPIs to measure product success and guide continuous improvement.
  • Track trends in modern data platforms, data engineering, and analytics tooling and incorporate them into the roadmap.
  • Create documentation, guides, and onboarding materials to support adoption and data literacy.
  • Work with training and change management teams to help users integrate new tools and features.
  • Lead product marketing and re-launch efforts to increase awareness and adoption of data products.
  • Own agile product management activities including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and delivery trade-offs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on product management experience, including at least 2 years focused on data products or platforms.
  • Experience working with stakeholders in advanced engineering organizations and understanding of software development lifecycle processes.
  • Strong technical foundation in data engineering, analytics, and data products.
  • Deep familiarity with modern data platforms and scalable architecture, including lakehouses and medallion data architecture.
  • Ability to prioritize roadmaps while managing trade-offs across scope, resources, and timelines.
  • Resourceful, independent problem-solver who escalates only when necessary.
  • Experience defining measurable outcomes, tracking success metrics, and iterating on product impact.
  • Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement and high-quality delivery.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, and executives.
  • Preferred: experience using data science, BI, analytics, or data engineering tools to uncover insights and business opportunities.
  • Preferred: experience creating enablement materials such as guides, documentation, and training resources.
  • Preferred: experience evangelizing technical products, datasets, frameworks, and tools to drive adoption.
  • Preferred: knowledge of metadata management and discoverability.
  • Preferred: awareness of current trends in databases, data science, and software development.

  • Base salary range of $136,000 to $266,000 USD for U.S.-based candidates.
