Description

  • Lead customer engagements using a value-based selling approach to build the business case, desired future state, and delivery plan.
  • Manage existing customers in value realization activities to validate achieved value and identify improvement and new growth opportunities.
  • Develop Business Value Consulting collateral for internal and customer-facing use as MongoDB initiatives and practice needs emerge.
  • Use business, technical, and financial analysis to assess customer baseline and future-state capabilities.
  • Create and present business cases and forecasted business impact from MongoDB solutions.
  • Translate technical concepts and recommendations into clear business benefits for management and executive stakeholders.
  • Coach the sales organization to improve tactical and strategic opportunity success.
  • Mentor sellers by providing input and recommendations for account and opportunity plans.
  • Lead discovery sessions and facilitate interviews with business and technical stakeholders on the customer side.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college, preferably in Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business and Technology Strategy Consultant with business case experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience across the IT industry, including technology strategy, pre-sales consulting for software vendors, application development, and data.
  • Expertise in business and financial modeling, with familiarity with ROI, TCO, NPV, and IRR.
  • Advanced proficiency in productivity tools, including custom spreadsheet building, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Experience leading discovery and facilitating interviews with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working with executive- and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure, technology stacks, software development methodologies such as SDLC, Agile, and DevOps, and RDBMS and/or NoSQL software.
  • Ability to adapt to varied customer situations and communicate value from both pre-sale and post-sale perspectives.
  • Preferred experience in a business value role for a software vendor.
