Description

  • Support the sales and delivery of application modernization engagements.
  • Facilitate technical workshops and discovery sessions with customer architects, developers, and business leaders.
  • Provide recommendations to sales teams on account strategy and align MongoDB and ecosystem resources to advance customer plans.
  • Install and deliver complex demonstrations involving multiple applications on Docker and GitHub Codespaces.
  • Advise on modern software development processes and application architectures, including agile, domain-driven design, microservices, test-driven development, event-driven architectures, operational data layers, and test automation.
  • Work with customers on designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Help modernize legacy applications by decomposing them into services and transforming codebases toward modern frameworks.
  • Communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to technology and business leadership.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed for meetings and engagements.

Requirements

  • 8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 5 to 7 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, and/or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with modern software development processes and application architectures.
  • Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-premises.
  • Ability to install and deliver complex demonstrations using Docker and GitHub Codespaces.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with major cloud providers (preferred).
  • Experience with database programming and data models (preferred).
  • Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects (preferred).
  • Experience transforming legacy systems into modern, scalable technology stacks (preferred).
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message (preferred).
  • MongoDB Certification (preferred).
  • Cloud Provider Certification (preferred).
  • Must be located in North America near an airport for customer travel, while based remotely in the UK.
