Description

  • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale data platform projects on Snowflake, AWS, and Azure.
  • Guide technical teams through data migration, integration, and performance optimization efforts.
  • Identify and implement automation and performance improvements to strengthen client data platform capabilities.
  • Lead migrations to cloud platforms such as Snowflake and Redshift, including integration across data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed systems.
  • Set up client data platforms using industry best practices, robust security standards, and data governance controls.
  • Debug, enhance, and re-engineer platform features as environments, data, and technology evolve.
  • Plan for changes to upstream data sources to reduce impact on users and systems and support scalable adoption.
  • Manage multiple customer engagements to deliver on time, control resource usage, and maximize platform ROI.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing strategic guidance and addressing technical challenges.
  • Partner with sales, engineering, and support teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 10 years of hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and managing cloud-native data platforms and solutions.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, including experience presenting to executive stakeholders and creating detailed solution documentation.
  • Extensive experience managing enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure Data Warehouse.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Snowflake ecosystems, including S3, ADLS, Kinesis, Data Factory, dbt, and Kafka.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including writing, debugging, and optimizing queries.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Bitbucket or GitHub.
  • Expertise with data integration tools such as AWS Data Migration Services, Azure Data Factory, Matillion, Fivetran, or Spark.
  • Snowflake SnowPro Core certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience using Python for task automation and operational efficiency preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with automated deployment frameworks such as Flyway or Liquibase preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred; advanced degrees or equivalent certifications are also preferred.
