Description

  • Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
  • Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while communicating business value to stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, and end-to-end deal execution.
  • Own the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
  • Work directly with customers to review complex application architectures and recommend improvements.
  • Generate demand through self-directed technical initiatives, industry events, and account-based marketing activities.
  • Build strong customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
  • Relayer field feedback to the product team and contribute to ongoing product and process improvement.
  • Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and participate in ongoing training and development.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, including ideally 2 years in a customer-facing role.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages such as Python, Node.js, or SQL, or programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#.
  • Experience implementing scalable, highly available distributed systems in both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience reviewing complex application architectures and advising customers on technical improvements.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical and business concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional sales team to execute an end-to-end deal cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Professional proficiency in both written and verbal English.
  • Preferred experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications with major cloud providers.
  • Preferred experience in a technical pre-sales role.
  • Preferred experience with database programming and data models.
  • Preferred experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects.
  • Preferred understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
  • MongoDB certification is preferred.
  • Cloud provider certification is preferred.
