Description

  • Partner closely with the CEO to shape and execute communications for internal, customer, and investor audiences.
  • Develop and maintain a clear, consistent narrative for key company moments, including earnings, All Hands, .local, and other executive engagements.
  • Draft speeches, scripts, talking points, presentations, internal communications, and other CEO-facing content.
  • Translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives, including keynote decks, executive presentations, and digital content.
  • Align messaging and execution across the CMO, Chief of Staff, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Events, Brand, and Product Marketing teams.
  • Translate company strategy, product momentum, and market context into clear communications tailored to specific audiences.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and external agencies to amplify MongoDB’s executive and corporate narrative.
  • Support the CEO in real time before and during major moments, including preparation, iteration, and follow-through.
  • Adapt messages for employees, customers, analysts, and investors while maintaining consistency in the core story.
  • Travel regularly to support the CEO at key internal, customer, and investor moments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in executive communications, corporate communications, investor relations, or a related field in a high-growth tech environment.
  • Experience supporting a CEO or senior executive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; public company experience is a plus.
  • Strong preference for experience in high-growth, venture-backed, or founder-led environments.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to capture and adapt an executive’s voice across formats.
  • Strong visual instincts and the ability to storyboard complex concepts and shape presentations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior marketing leaders, Chiefs of Staff, and Investor Relations teams.
  • Strong technical fluency and the ability to communicate clearly about data, AI, infrastructure, and modern application development.
  • Comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor who can turn rough ideas into polished, CEO-ready drafts or decks under pressure.
  • Low ego, high ownership, and a willingness to iterate quickly based on feedback.
  • Based in New York City or Palo Alto, with a willingness to travel regularly in support of the CEO.
