Description

  • Manage forecasting and budgeting activities for clubs and Local Media operations.
  • Prepare board-level and executive-ready presentations on financial and operational performance, including forecast and budget results.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Ad Sales, Distribution, MLBN Finance/Accounting, Production, and clubs to align execution with financial targets.
  • Review club financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Work with Accounting to ensure accurate monthly close results and variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
  • Oversee MLBN allocation analysis and team-level variance reporting.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track operational and financial performance metrics.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining operational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support strategic initiatives and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sports broadcast television experience.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build partnerships at the MLB club level.
  • Proven understanding of operational finance concepts and process design to support reliable results.
  • Deep knowledge of baseball and a strong passion for the sport.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective process management skills.
  • Knowledge of current business software and reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments on tight timelines.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule consistent with the Major League Baseball season.
  • Ability to travel domestically as requested.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to maintain visual, manual dexterity, and auditory acuity sufficient to perform required tasks.
  • Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.
  • Excellent analytical skills and communication skills.
