Description

  • Own capture execution for assigned opportunities from qualification through award.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders, industry partners, and internal executives.
  • Track customer priorities, budgets, acquisition approaches, and procurement timelines.
  • Attend NCR-based industry events, forums, conferences, and partner sessions to gather insights and expand networks.
  • Develop and maintain capture artifacts such as capture plans, competitor analyses, customer intelligence, and gate review materials.
  • Partner with growth leadership to define win strategy, discriminators, and positioning aligned to customer mission outcomes.
  • Shape opportunities by identifying customer pain points, refining solution concepts, and recommending competitive strategies.
  • Translate customer insights into actionable capture plans with timelines, milestones, and decision points.
  • Develop and execute teaming strategies to improve probability of win as both prime and subcontractor.

Requirements

  • 3–8 years of experience in capture, proposals, or related business development roles.
  • Must be located in the National Capital Region (NCR) and able to attend frequent NCR-based meetings and events during standard business hours, with occasional early or late engagements.
  • Ability to work as part of a lean, highly efficient team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear capture documentation and executive-ready briefings.
  • Familiarity with the Federal acquisition environment, including RFIs, RFPs, IDIQs, task orders, and GSA schedules.
  • Experience supporting capture work in one or more agencies such as DoD, Civilian, Intel, DHS, or VA.
  • Working knowledge of pricing basics and competitive positioning.
  • Experience developing and executing teaming strategies to increase probability of win.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or Dynamics, federal market research platforms such as GovWin, SAM.gov, or GSA eBuy, and Microsoft collaboration tools including Teams and Copilot.

  • Salary range of $135,000–$165,000.
