Description

  • Implement AI-enabled features and simple RAG/agent workflows with senior guidance on complex design.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy small services end-to-end within the team.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines for owned services.
  • Participate in on-call support for owned components and diagnose and fix issues.
  • Contribute to design reviews and propose team process improvements.
  • Mentor AI Engineer I teammates.
  • Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to deliver scoped solutions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of software engineering experience, including hands-on work with LLM or AI-enabled features.
  • Working knowledge of Python, including async patterns, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and pytest.
  • Experience building and deploying services on AWS, including Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway.
  • Production experience consuming LLMs such as Claude via Amazon Bedrock or the Anthropic API and building basic RAG/agent features.
  • Working experience with a production data layer such as Redis, DynamoDB, or Postgres/Aurora using async SQLAlchemy.
  • Understanding of identity and app security fundamentals, including JWT/OAuth and secrets management.
  • Experience with containerized delivery using Docker/ECS and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
  • Comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
  • Snowflake experience is preferred.
  • Experience with MongoDB is preferred.
  • Frontend/web UI development experience with React 19 and TypeScript is a nice to have, though not expected for this role.
