Description

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production-ready API solutions.
  • Write and execute unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Create and maintain internal software documentation and public API documentation.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, researchers, product managers, and cloud/operations engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Implement, test, deploy, and support new features and products for Mitek’s identity platform.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, refinement sessions, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Help build and maintain backend systems that support high-traffic workloads.
  • Mentor more junior engineers when needed and contribute across multiple design phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Proven experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS.
  • Strong background in CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices or serverless architectures.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous delivery principles.
  • Experience building and deploying Dockerized applications.
  • Experience building automated unit, integration, and performance tests for reliability at scale.
  • Ability to drive adoption of new tools and technologies across teams.
  • Preferred: deep familiarity with AWS services such as ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and KMS.
  • Preferred: 1+ year of programming experience implementing production systems in Golang.
  • Preferred: infrastructure as code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Preferred: database experience with MongoDB, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, or RDS.
  • Preferred: frontend exposure to React/Redux or similar JavaScript frameworks.
  • Preferred: programming experience in Java, Python, Groovy, Bash, or C++.
  • Preferred: familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or image processing.
  • Preferred: awareness of machine learning architectures or data pipelines.
  • Preferred: experience delivering features from user stories through deployment in Agile environments.
