Description

  • Design original computational chemistry problems that reflect real chemistry research workflows.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve using numerical and chemical libraries.
  • Develop computationally intensive problems that cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
  • Build problems that require multi-step reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling.
  • Base tasks on real research challenges or practical applications in chemistry.
  • Verify solutions using Python and standard computational chemistry approaches.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
  • Complete assigned project tasks during active phases, typically 10–20 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Python proficiency for numerical validation.
  • Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or another programming language may be considered equivalent.
  • 2+ years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience.
  • Experience with numerical methods in chemistry.
  • Familiarity with computational chemistry concepts and methods.
  • Strong written English at C1+ level.
  • Open to part-time, non-permanent project-based work.
  • CV must be submitted in English.
  • Candidates must indicate their level of English proficiency.
