Description

  • Design original computational chemistry problems that reflect real chemistry research workflows.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve, using numerical and chemical libraries.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and not realistically solvable by hand within days or weeks.
  • Develop tasks that require multi-step reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling.
  • Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications from chemistry practice.
  • Verify solutions using Python and standard computational chemistry methods.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
  • Participate in project-based tasks during active phases, with an estimated workload of 10–20 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Python proficiency for numerical validation.
  • Experience with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or another programming language may be considered equivalent.
  • 2+ years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience.
  • Experience with numerical methods in chemistry.
  • Familiarity with computational chemistry concepts and methods.
  • Strong written English at C1 level or higher.
  • Willingness to work on part-time, non-permanent, project-based assignments.
