Description

  • Manage the end-to-end customer contract lifecycle, including drafting, redlining, negotiation, execution, amendments, and renewals.
  • Draft and negotiate customer-facing agreements, including MSAs, product exhibits and addenda, SLAs, DPAs, and renewal documents.
  • Serve as the first point of review for contract questions and escalate only high-risk or legal issues to counsel.
  • Ensure contracts accurately reflect approved commercial terms, legal entities, products, services, and fallback positions.
  • Create, maintain, and improve contract playbooks, including standard positions, fallback language, acceptable ranges, and escalation paths.
  • Maintain a centralized knowledge base of past redlines, accepted deviations, and decision context.
  • Own and update contract templates and clause libraries to improve speed, consistency, and risk alignment.
  • Support Sales, Account Management, Operations, and Finance on contract interpretation, obligations, and negotiation guidance.
  • Provide internal training and documentation on contract processes and best practices.
  • Support renewal readiness, contract standardization initiatives, and updates to legacy agreements, while serving as a future owner or administrator for contract tools or CLM systems.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in contract management, paralegal, legal operations, or commercial contracting.
  • Experience supporting SaaS or software-based contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract negotiation dynamics and risk tradeoffs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise business judgment, not just legal analysis.
  • Preferred experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated environments.
  • Prior exposure to contract playbook development, clause libraries, and fallback positions.
  • Experience with CLM or contract repository tools.
  • Comfort operating as a client-facing negotiator when appropriate.
  • Ability to work with U.S. company stakeholders across Sales, Account Management, Legal, Finance, and Operations.
