Description

  • Support the design and implementation of cloud-based architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to cloud engineers, including reviewing their work and helping resolve complex challenges.
  • Translate technical requirements into actionable solutions for stakeholders and troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Provide requirement decomposition and engineering expertise to help ensure program requirements are developed and sustained.
  • Prepare operating instructions and end-user training materials.
  • Develop and implement cloud governance strategies and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Lead automation efforts for deployment, monitoring, and management processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on cloud engineering best practices and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in risk management assessments and architecture reviews throughout all phases.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly.
  • Certification that meets 8140/8570 standards, such as Security+ or above.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Cloud Solution Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
  • Extensive experience building and leading AWS cloud infrastructure solutions at scale across multiple classification domains (IL5 to IL6+) simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS core services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and EBS.
  • AWS cloud experience is required; Azure and/or GCP experience is preferred.
  • Expert-level experience creating, managing, and hardening desktop OS images in the cloud, such as AMIs, across multiple classification domains.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless computing, and containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud security best practices and hands-on experience integrating with IAM, SSO, and federation systems.
  • Excellent scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $174,000 to $220,000.
