Description

  • Provide ongoing technical support for supported client Azure environments.
  • Handle escalations from the monitoring team and manage alerting tickets.
  • Code and triage unassigned tickets in the ticketing system.
  • Acknowledge alerting tickets in both the ticketing system and Logic Monitor.
  • Create and manage Microsoft support escalation tickets.
  • Perform VM resizes and create new virtual machines when time permits.
  • Troubleshoot and reinstall Azure agents used for backups and patching.
  • Provide initial support for backup failure tickets.
  • Assist with patching tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of Azure experience and experience working with a ticketing system.
  • 1-2 years of experience with cloud servers, services, and software, or equivalent system administration experience in on-prem server and virtualization environments.
  • Experience in a 24x7 managed services hosted service company or Network Operations Center environment.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and ITSM systems for Incident and Change Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments such as AWS, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration, including virtual server scaling and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Azure native services such as Policy, Cost Management, Active Directory, Lighthouse, Monitor/Log Analytics, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Understanding of virtualization, containers, disk storage, encryption, security, network connectivity, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Operational knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
  • Experience with Azure-based deployments and migrations or other cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Microsoft Azure certification AZ-104 is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client relationship skills and experience managing vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Passion for problem solving, learning new technologies, and personal development.
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available.
