Description

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across the assigned territory.
  • Build and manage engagement programs for enterprise customers to scale outreach and drive results.
  • Research customer business drivers, strategic objectives, investment priorities, and decision-maker landscapes to inform account plans and sales strategies.
  • Work with Sales Leadership and Marketing to translate market insights into actionable go-to-market plans.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects and Marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns for key verticals and accounts.
  • Support sales pursuits by coordinating internal resources and maintaining customer-focused engagement throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape and validate solution designs during the pre-sales process.
  • Identify, onboard, and enable channel partners to extend reach into new accounts and markets across the DACH region.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners and act as a trusted technical and commercial advisor.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Megaport’s product portfolio and platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong prospecting, qualifying, and closing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Italian IT ecosystem and commercial landscape.
  • Proven experience in both direct and indirect sales, ideally within as-a-service or network solutions environments.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders on complex engagements.
  • Established partner network in the DACH region and ability to build and maintain executive-level relationships.
  • Solid understanding of data networking, cloud computing, and virtual private networking.
  • Consultative selling skills with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong forecasting skills and ability to manage pipeline with accuracy.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability and a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, globally distributed environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • German speaker with business-level proficiency in English.
