Description

  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions and document client requirements.
  • Design and implement dimensional models.
  • Design, build, maintain, and support complex data integration pipelines.
  • Design and build Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps.
  • Lead client working sessions and present recommended solutions.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and plan improvements.
  • Mentor and upskill junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot BI solutions and improve performance and security.
  • Design Azure DevOps backlogs and sprints and help lead delivery.
  • Oversee project teams and source code.
  • Support project implementations, client relationships, and some pre-sales activities.
  • Learn and apply master data management and data governance techniques.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data warehousing, including Azure, SQL, Synapse, Spark, or Delta Lake.
  • Experience with ETL tools and methods such as ADF Pipelines or SSIS.
  • Experience with Analysis Services, DAX, Power BI Pro, and Power BI Premium.
  • High-level understanding of Azure cloud data platforms and services.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing data solutions for complex business problems.
  • Experience working with large data volumes, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ERP and CRM tools desirable.
  • Experience with Kimball dimensional modeling and batch/incremental ETL development approaches.
  • Experience with database performance tuning, data quality monitoring, and data governance methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel about 10% as needed.
  • Commitment to mentoring, learning new ideas, and staying at the leading edge is preferred.
