Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Develop and optimise data models, transformations, and workflows using SQL, Python, and dbt.
  • Build integrations across cloud data platforms, warehouses, and external data sources.
  • Improve database performance, data reliability, and cost efficiency through monitoring and optimisation.
  • Implement data-quality checks, unit tests, and validation processes.
  • Translate CRM and customer-engagement requirements into pipelines and data models for Braze and other platforms.
  • Manage customer events, user attributes, identity resolution, and data synchronisation for personalised experiences.
  • Collaborate with Data, Analytics, CRM, and CDP teams to align solutions with client goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and engineering best practices across client engagements.
  • Identify and apply AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve data workflows and productivity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or a similar technical role.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, data modelling, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • 2+ years of experience using Python for data applications and transformations.
  • Practical experience with dbt and modular data transformation.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and modern data-integration tools.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, pipeline design, database performance, testing, and data quality.
  • Experience translating business and customer-engagement requirements into reliable data solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in an agency or consulting environment supporting multiple clients and changing priorities.
  • C1-level or equivalent written and verbal English; valid right to work is required, as visa sponsorship is unavailable.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Hightouch, mParticle, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift is preferred.
  • Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect or Data Engineer certification is preferred.
