Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines for analytics, machine learning, and business reporting.
  • Develop ETL/ELT workflows that integrate databases, APIs, and third-party tools into data lakes and warehouses.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver clean, accessible, and optimized data.
  • Implement data-quality checks, monitoring, and validation processes.
  • Support cloud-based data storage and retrieval infrastructure.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines for large-scale, real-time data flows.
  • Apply query optimization and cost-efficient data storage practices.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to gather data requirements.
  • Document data workflows, schemas, and processes while promoting data reliability, governance, and security.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and storage solutions such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with Airflow and Airbyte is required.
  • Dataform experience is required.
  • 2+ years of data engineering experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • 2+ years of production SQL and Python development experience.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and sensitive-data handling practices.
  • Strong ability to gather cross-functional requirements and translate them into actionable engineering tasks.
  • Approximately 4 years of total professional experience preferred.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, fast-growing startups, or real-time processing frameworks such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink is preferred.
