Description

  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and direct performance conversations.
  • Oversee a mixed team of field deployment engineers and remote technical support specialists.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on Mashgin's hardware, software, and deployment systems.
  • Own, evaluate, and improve standard operating procedures across the deployment operation.
  • Act as a communication bridge between the team and cross-functional partners including Product, Engineering, and vendors.
  • Surface recurring issues and keep relevant stakeholders informed.
  • Support new location launches and assist customers through remote and on-site deployments.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to support deployments and customer needs.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a lead or management role.
  • Experience managing at least 6 direct reports.
  • Background in a technical, field operations, or customer support environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Comfortable having direct, constructive conversations with employees who are well-liked or resistant to feedback.
  • Comfortable with up to 25% travel, including occasional last-minute deployments.
  • Self-starter who can make sound decisions independently.
  • Based in or near a major airport in the West Coast or Central time zone, preferably Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, or the Bay Area.
  • Background in building knowledge bases, internal documentation, or training resources is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong technical ability, including installing drivers, diagnosing system issues, and building PCs with off-the-shelf components.
