Description

  • Define and drive a multi-year, enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives and global expansion.
  • Hire, coach, and lead a high-performing global team of recruiting leaders and individual contributors.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on critical talent decisions.
  • Shape Marqeta’s talent brand through digital presence, content, candidate experience, and employee advocacy.
  • Own recruiting systems strategy and architecture to improve efficiency, data integrity, and strategic reporting.
  • Develop executive-level reporting that provides predictive insights and measures talent acquisition impact.
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team and department heads on multi-year headcount forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Maintain deep market intelligence on the competitive talent landscape, industry trends, and global talent markets.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that support long-term corporate strategies and business objectives.
  • Design and manage world-class recruiting processes that deliver a premium global candidate experience.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, or Human Resources.
  • At least 8 years of experience leading high-performing, multi-location, or global teams in a hyper-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to influence executives, including the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Exceptional analytical, program management, and project management skills.
  • Experience translating complex data and analytics into actionable executive insights.
  • Deep knowledge of the candidate lifecycle and global recruiting processes.
  • Proven ability to initiate, innovate, and deliver complex, high-impact enterprise results.
  • Ability to learn quickly, prioritize effectively, manage ambiguity, and drive organizational change.
  • Passion for building a diverse and inclusive global team.

  • Competitive base salary of $219,400-$274,200 nationally, $233,400-$291,800 in Premium locations, or $247,400-$309,300 in Premium Plus locations.
