Description

  • Lead a team of 5+ Account Executives and Account Managers focused on F1000 customers and prospects across key verticals.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with key decision-makers in enterprise organizations.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, customer success, and other internal teams to align on customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Marqeta’s solutions and communicate their value to clients.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and manage pipeline activity.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer pain points to refine sales strategy.
  • Build a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and high-performing sales team by shaping GTM strategy, hiring, team structure, culture, and sales processes.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with partner teams including Vetting, Delivery, GNSO, Sales Strategy and Operations, Banking Partnerships, and global sales teams.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of enterprise technology sales and account management experience within a payments organization.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams with a measurable track record of developing high-performing AEs and AMs.
  • Experience selling complex, multi-product technology platform solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Industry expertise in payments, retail, fintech, and banking.
  • Ability to influence in complex situations.
  • Track record of delivering year-over-year new logo bookings and expanding in-year revenue.
  • Experience working in or with a flexible-first or remote environment is relevant given the role’s work model.
  • Willingness to work remote within the United States or from the Oakland, CA or New York City offices, with 2 days per week in-office if within 35 miles of an office.
