Description

  • Operate and test Linear Generator units after new site installations to support integration into the fleet.
  • Travel to customer sites and project locations to assist with new installations, site acceptance tests, and customer demonstrations.
  • Improve commissioning procedures to increase testing efficiency and reduce timelines.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and perform root cause analysis in collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical, and Software & Controls teams.
  • Work with commissioning technicians to support repairs, retrofits, and operational training.
  • Analyze commissioning data, produce reports, and communicate results to customers, project managers, and engineering teams.
  • Build and refine automation scripts, commissioning toolkits, and data-driven processes for onboarding, testing, and fault recovery.
  • Help shape future commissioning workflows in a new and evolving role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related/equivalent field.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Understanding of electrical power distribution and control systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus or Ethernet/IP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Flexibility in approach and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoy working with complex systems and collaborating in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide up to 50% of the time.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field and/or 3+ years of applicable experience (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with industrial equipment installation or commissioning, including interpreting schematics and technical specifications (preferred).
  • Familiarity with microgrid controls solutions, devices, programming, energy management systems, and controls architecture (preferred).
  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical or engineering capacity (preferred).
