Description

Develop wireless network communication solutions for high-volume products with continuous 24/7 reliability.
Design firmware for home energy product components, including RF communication protocols, mobile app interfaces, system diagnostics, and updates.
Drive system architecture discussions to achieve desired product functionality.
Collaborate with the team on design and development, including participating in code reviews.
Work across disciplines to refine product impact, speed to market, and operational reliability.
Own the product design from early concepts based on first principles through high-volume production quality.

Requirements

Degree in computer engineering or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent ability.
5+ years of experience delivering firmware for new products as part of a team.
Proficiency in C and working familiarity with Python.
Rust knowledge is a nice to have.
Experience with IP stack protocols such as Ethernet, WiFi, TCP, UDP, and HTTPS.
Working knowledge of Bluetooth/BLE.
Experience working with WiFi networks and the Espressif ecosystem.
Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab test equipment.
