Description

  • Lead, hire, onboard, coach, and develop a team of 4–8 full-stack engineers.
  • Act as a working engineer by writing production code, reviewing PRs, debugging complex issues, and pairing on senior-level work.
  • Design and operate Claude agent pipelines to parallelize engineering work and raise team output.
  • Break down complex initiatives into agent-executable subtasks with precise acceptance criteria and unambiguous specs.
  • Set standards for AI tool usage, prompting, verification, and when to override agent output.
  • Own delivery end to end, including sprint planning, blocker resolution, and cross-functional dependency management.
  • Build and own core consumer product systems, including e-commerce, subscription billing, checkout flows, mobile backend, and user tracking infrastructure.
  • Design and maintain A/B testing and experimentation infrastructure, including feature flags, assignment logic, analytics, and results dashboards.
  • Establish engineering standards for code quality, PR review norms, deployment practices, observability, and incident response.
  • Partner with Product, Clinical, and Ops to translate roadmap requirements into engineering execution.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a lead or management role.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js/TypeScript backends and Next.js/React frontends at a senior level.
  • Strong PostgreSQL fundamentals, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization, plus Redis experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building and orchestrating multi-agent pipelines with the Claude Agent SDK.
  • Production experience integrating LLMs into real systems, including streaming, tool use, structured outputs, and prompt engineering.
  • Daily use of Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent AI development tools in built workflows.
  • Proven experience designing and building web A/B testing platforms from the ground up.
  • Deep understanding of experimentation design, including randomization, assignment consistency, statistical power, holdout groups, and novelty bias.
  • Experience building consumer apps and e-commerce systems end to end, including storefronts, checkout, subscriptions, and billing.
  • Built user behavior tracking infrastructure such as event schemas, analytics pipelines, conversion funnels, and retention analysis.
  • Experience running engineering sprints, managing dependencies, and owning delivery timelines.
  • Ability to write precise engineering specs that agents and engineers can execute with minimal back-and-forth.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, and S3, as well as Vercel, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA/SOC2 requirements and how compliance affects architecture decisions.
  • Fluent written and spoken English for async team communication.
  • Experience in telehealth, DTC health, or a regulated healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Experience building an internal agent framework or tooling layer used by other engineers is preferred.
  • Experience shipping a consumer mobile app with measurable retention is preferred.
  • Background in distributed systems or real-time infrastructure is preferred.
  • Evidence of AI-augmented engineering results, such as examples, numbers, or a portfolio, is strongly preferred.
