Description

  • Manage and develop a distributed team of backend and frontend engineers across EMEA and North America.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams to support customer and prospect success with observability collection.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to align Ingest products with Grafana Cloud’s end-to-end user experience.
  • Guide projects from ideation and planning through execution and post-launch improvements.
  • Foster psychological safety, continuous learning, experimentation, and team innovation.
  • Work across organizational boundaries to solve customer problems and contribute to projects beyond the team’s scope.

Requirements

  • Experience with observability, particularly OpenTelemetry, or with building central control planes for collector fleets is preferred.
  • Experience leading autonomous engineering teams in technical and product decision-making.
  • Strong people-management and relationship-building abilities, while maintaining technical awareness.
  • Experience collaborating across time zones and cultures in a fully remote environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, align stakeholders, and improve team performance.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to ground technical decisions in user needs.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, including scalability, fault tolerance, consistency, and observability.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools; practical experience integrating them into team workflows is preferred.
  • Candidates must be based in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland, or the UK.
