Description

  • Facilitate client-facing workshops and discovery sessions to gather and document business requirements.
  • Convert mission-level needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Assess gaps between legacy workflows and ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities to guide build-versus-configure decisions.
  • Partner with the Agile Coach to develop and roll out delivery processes and SOPs across ServiceNow program teams.
  • Own backlog quality by reviewing user stories for completeness, accuracy, clarity, and Definition of Ready compliance.
  • Mentor junior analysts and developers on federal domain context, business intent, and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Conduct peer reviews of functional designs and test scripts as part of quality assurance.
  • Build process maps, workflow diagrams, and data models to document end-to-end service delivery flows.
  • Advise government clients on platform best practices and minimize unnecessary customization and technical debt.
  • Partner with Solution Architects to validate that functional requirements are technically sound and deliverable.
  • Ensure designs conform to federal IT requirements, including Section 508 accessibility standards and FISMA/NIST security controls.
  • Own UAT planning and execution, including test script authoring, session coordination, and outcome tracking.
  • Produce federal-standard documentation such as SOPs, end-user guides, and training materials.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, including at least 3 years focused on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience supporting federal contracting environments such as DoD, DHS, or civilian agencies.
  • Hands-on experience delivering within Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Deep familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM and at least one additional module, such as ITOM, HRSD, SPM, ITAM, or custom application development.
  • Working proficiency with backlog management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow Agile, or Azure DevOps.
  • Skill with process mapping tools such as Visio, LucidChart, or equivalent.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation or higher is preferred.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • CSM certification is preferred.
  • SAFe PO/PM certification is preferred.
