Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications for legacy system modernization.
  • Analyze legacy systems and workflows to identify essential functionality and eliminate process overhead.
  • Translate operational requirements into scalable application designs.
  • Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, and integration layers connecting legacy systems with modern platforms.
  • Build and enhance user-facing components with modern front-end technologies.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, integration, and data layers.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve system behavior.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on full stack software development experience.
  • Experience working in complex or enterprise system environments.
  • Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with relational databases and data access patterns.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across multiple application layers and simplify complex systems.
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
  • Strong systems thinking, ownership, communication, and problem-framing skills.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous or poorly documented environments.
  • Experience with legacy system modernization, federal or mission-driven environments, enterprise data platforms, or large-scale integrations preferred.

Benefits

  • Annual salary of $90,000–$115,000 based on experience.
