Description

  • Own a defined portion of the technical scope and lead implementation within a client workstream.
  • Architect platform solutions, document tradeoffs, and communicate design decisions to clients.
  • Build, configure, maintain, and evolve CI/CD pipelines end to end.
  • Write and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation, including module design, remote state, and drift management.
  • Design, build, and deploy cloud-native platform environments such as Kubernetes or managed container services.
  • Develop observability capabilities including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
  • Build developer platform tooling, automation, and self-service infrastructure to reduce manual work.
  • Integrate AI tooling and AI agents into platform workflows and delivery pipelines where they add value.
  • Lead a small team of engineers by organizing work, breaking down tasks, and pairing on complex problems.
  • Provide technical mentorship, code review feedback, and stakeholder communication for the assigned scope.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on platform engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Authorized to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% depending on client needs, with remote work otherwise.
  • Experience owning a CI/CD pipeline end to end in a production environment.
  • Experience writing and managing production infrastructure as code at scale with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience building and deploying cloud-native platform environments in real production settings.
  • Experience making architecture decisions under constraints and being accountable for outcomes.
  • Experience building meaningful observability and alerting for real systems.
  • Experience building platform tooling, automation, or self-service internal infrastructure.
  • Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider and enough breadth across others to ramp quickly.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into delivery workflows and using AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf daily.
  • Familiarity with LLM capabilities and how to apply them in a platform context.

  • Base salary of $140,000-$170,000 plus a 10% bonus.
