Description

  • Operate and optimize AKS clusters, including upgrades, scaling, node-pool management, and troubleshooting.
  • Build and manage modular infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Implement GitOps deployment workflows with Argo CD and GitHub.
  • Deploy and maintain containerized workloads using Docker, Helm, and Kustomize.
  • Manage Azure networking, identity, and security services, including VNets, Private Link, RBAC, and Key Vault.
  • Operate Azure data and platform services, including PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Service Bus, Redis, AI Search, Storage, and ACR.
  • Own platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, KQL dashboards, incident response, and performance tuning.
  • Provide support during core Eastern Time business hours and, when needed, outside normal hours for outages and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps roles.
  • Experience supporting large, distributed systems for the Federal Government.
  • U.S. citizenship and at least a Public Trust clearance, with ability to maintain a High Risk Public Trust designation.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Azure, AKS, and Kubernetes operations; AWS experience may be considered in lieu of Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, Terragrunt, and modular infrastructure as code.
  • GitOps experience using Argo CD and GitHub workflows.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics/KQL observability tools.
  • Ability to work remotely within the continental United States during core Eastern Time hours, with availability for occasional after-hours support.
  • Azure Government or AWS GovCloud/C2S/SC2S experience, active Secret or Top Secret clearance, relevant Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or AWS certifications, and cloud cost-optimization knowledge are preferred.
