Description

  • Administer enterprise GitLab Self-Managed and Dedicated environments, including installation, upgrades, backups, restores, user management, runners, Geo replication, and performance tuning.
  • Lead migrations from GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and SVN into GitLab using Congregate and direct transfer methods.
  • Deploy GitLab reference architectures and operate GitLab environments at enterprise scale.
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines with integrated SAST, DAST, dependency, container, and compliance scanning.
  • Configure and roll out GitLab Duo Agent Platform (DAP), including customized agents and flows for AI-assisted development.
  • Advise customers on GitLab governance, adoption, and secure DevSecOps practices.
  • Lead customer workshops, cutovers, secure-environment deployments, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Deliver scoped work on schedule, including estimating and executing GitLab-managed statements of work.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or platform engineering experience.
  • Production experience administering GitLab Self-Managed or Dedicated environments.
  • Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead customer meetings and work within defined scopes.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, workshops, cutovers, and secure facilities as needed.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance held directly by the candidate at the time of application; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
  • GitLab Certified Associate, Professional, or Services Engineer certification (preferred).
  • Production experience with Kubernetes and Terraform (preferred).
  • Experience using AWS, GCP, or Azure in a DevSecOps context (preferred).
  • Experience with federal, defense, or intelligence programs; GitLab Duo, DAP, agentic AI; or security scanning, STIG compliance, and cATO frameworks (preferred).
