Description

  • Design, build, and maintain dbt models on Databricks for go-to-market and revenue data.
  • Own certified GTM, revenue, and customer metrics, including bookings, retention, pipeline, forecasting, customer health, and efficiency.
  • Align business leaders on metric definitions, edge cases, and stakeholder approval before publishing metrics.
  • Build and maintain Databricks metric views, data dictionary entries, and Unity Catalog model documentation.
  • Curate AI-agent data catalogs, descriptions, verified queries, and revenue regression question sets.
  • Apply dbt contracts, tests, freshness, volume, and anomaly checks; maintain lineage and resolve upstream issues with the Senior Data Engineer.
  • Provide governed revenue, contract, and subscription features for machine learning models, alerts, and AI agents.
  • Own GTM and revenue forecasting datasets and BI feeds, translating stakeholder questions into reusable data products.
  • Review dbt code, establish modeling conventions, and mentor peers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of production data modeling experience in analytics or data engineering, ideally supporting GTM, RevOps, or SaaS revenue.
  • At least 3 years of dbt experience, including incremental models, snapshots, macros, tests, documentation, and CI with state-based deferred builds.
  • Strong SQL skills; Databricks and Delta experience preferred, with Snowflake or BigQuery experience transferable.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce data models, including accounts, opportunities, line items, contracts, assets or entitlements, quotes, subscriptions, and field history.
  • Ability to define and defend SaaS revenue metrics including ARR, MRR, bookings, renewals, expansion, churn, downsell, and net and gross revenue retention.
  • Experience documenting business definitions, resolving conflicting metrics, and obtaining stakeholder approval.
  • Experience with model contracts, reconciliation, testing strategies, and freshness or anomaly monitoring.
  • Proficiency with Git, code review, pull requests, CI, environment promotion, and validation of AI-generated code.
  • Ability to communicate modeling tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and turn ambiguous questions into agreed requirements.
  • Preferred: experience with Unity Catalog governance, Databricks CI/CD, semantic-layer tools, MCP or agent evaluation datasets, feature engineering, or Power BI/Databricks AI/BI dashboards.

  • Annual base salary of $92,000–$100,000 USD in the United States or CA$86,000–CA$130,000 in Canada.
