Description

  • Own the technical approach for your initiative, including architecture, data model, integrations, rollout plan, observability, and rollback strategy.
  • Serve as the engineering anchor for a small cross-functional initiative team working with a PM, designer, and engineering peers.
  • Direct AI coding agents to implement much of the code while ensuring the work is safe, correct, and production-ready.
  • Write hand-crafted code when a sensitive area requires careful implementation.
  • Build prompts, guardrails, evals, tests, and review loops that enable agents to ship at a high quality bar.
  • Collaborate daily with product and design on scope, tradeoffs, UX decisions, and in-tool prototyping.
  • Document technical decisions, revisit them when data warrants, and participate in architect review for major architectural changes.
  • Own initiative outcomes by tracking whether the metric moved and presenting post-launch results with your PM.
  • Maintain high standards for production correctness, security, performance, observability, and customer/pro experience.
  • Create reusable artifacts such as runbooks, agent workflows, evals, and post-launch write-ups that help other teams move faster.

Requirements

  • AI-native experience using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent on production work.
  • Experience operating at a lead level, making technical calls and owning whether the work succeeded.
  • Strong outcome orientation with a habit of measuring success by metric movement and improved user experience.
  • Ability to partner effectively with a strong PM and designer in a cross-functional, shared-codebase environment.
  • Decisive, documented decision-making for architecture, data model, and rollout choices.
  • Experience leaving behind reusable artifacts such as workflows, evals, runbooks, and reviews.
  • Customer- and pro-minded perspective for a two-sided marketplace.
  • Deep skill in at least one of the listed stacks plus credible production experience with AI coding agents.
  • Familiarity with backend PHP/Laravel, frontend TypeScript/React/React Native, or the data/infra stack is a plus.
  • Experience with prompt design, evals, agent loops, and review workflows is preferred.
