Description

  • Work with the Infrastructure team on the Laravel Cloud platform.
  • Design and build infrastructure solutions for large-scale production systems.
  • Research and evaluate the best technical approaches before implementing them.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates through pairing, quick huddles, and shared problem-solving.
  • Build custom tooling and integrations when cloud-provider solutions are not sufficient.
  • Document internal systems, processes, and user-facing information for an all-remote team.
  • Help improve the developer experience for hundreds of thousands of Laravel users.
  • Balance best practices with pragmatic custom solutions when needed.
  • Contribute to ambitious infrastructure projects that support Laravel's broader product mission.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably with large-scale production systems.
  • Strong AWS expertise and familiarity with other cloud providers.
  • Experience working in large AWS environments with customer data, multi-account setups, and multiple regions.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Preferred experience with large Kubernetes clusters handling customer data.
  • Preferred experience building and maintaining Go-based Kubernetes operators using Kubebuilder and Operator SDK.
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tooling and processes.
  • Experience using infrastructure as code in a team environment, including sanity checks and policy enforcement.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, load balancing, caching, and DNS management.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving, all-remote environment.
  • Must be located in EU time zones.
