Description

  • Assist in developing and maintaining basic automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for data collection and system monitoring.
  • Support the maintenance and documentation of data pipelines to help ensure reliable operation.
  • Collaborate with the Data Operations team to design, build, and refine monitoring tools under supervision.
  • Help test and deploy small-scale automation and monitoring tools.
  • Write and maintain unit tests for automation and data processes to support reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and process improvement efforts.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project updates.

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Basic understanding of data processing or database management concepts, with SQL familiarity preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
  • Exposure to version control systems such as Git (preferred).
  • Interest in weather technology, data analytics, or large-scale systems operations (preferred).
