Description

  • Own technical strategy for complex, high-stakes enterprise opportunities with minimal oversight.
  • Lead advanced technical discovery to uncover customer pain points and differentiation opportunities.
  • Host technical workshops that align solutions to business outcomes and build executive confidence.
  • Architect and execute Proof of Value plans to win technical selection over competitors.
  • Partner with account executives on deal strategy and bring competitive and industry insight to sales motions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in marketing technology, CDPs, AI-driven personalization, analytics, and eCommerce.
  • Act as a go-to resource for competitive and industry landscape questions.
  • Build strong relationships with R&D teams to influence outcomes and help shape the product roadmap.
  • Contribute content to the SA Learning Library and mentor peers through example.
  • Prototype solutions and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate Klaviyo’s differentiation and improve customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales.
  • 4+ years leading technical strategy in high-complexity enterprise deals with minimal oversight.
  • 4+ years of experience across modern development stacks, including Python, JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js and React, RESTful APIs, SQL, and some mobile development exposure.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex and Claude Code, as well as emerging patterns like MCP.
  • Strong domain knowledge in marketing automation, CDPs, eCommerce systems, analytics, or data engineering.
  • Advanced discovery and requirements-gathering skills in multi-layered stakeholder environments.
  • Executive presence and exceptional communication skills across audiences from executives to developers.
  • Ability to handle challenging conversations, manage objections, and deliver strategic insights.
  • Experience using AI to scale effectiveness through automation, research, solution design, or development.
  • Experience building strong R&D relationships and influencing outcomes without authority.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving environments.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $118,400 to $177,600 USD for U.S. locations.
  • Participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Variable compensation/OTE for sales and customer success roles.
  • Equity and sign-on payments may be included in total compensation.

  • Up to 10% travel for onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events.
