Description

  • Research and develop algorithms for camera calibration, image registration, and 3D reconstruction from images and video.
  • Build solutions for aerial and satellite imagery, with opportunities to address underwater imagery and synthetic aperture radar.
  • Contribute to open-source software projects including TeleSculptor, KWIVER, and Danesfield.
  • Apply 3D vision methods to related problems such as object detection and tracking, change detection, super resolution, and video compression.
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop ideas and peer-review technical work.
  • Prepare and present research findings to customers and collaborators.
  • Collaborate directly with customers and participate in field tests and demonstrations.
  • Publish novel research and participate in relevant conferences.
  • Seek funding to develop independent research areas, if desired.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience applying multiview geometry to create 3D point clouds, meshes, Gaussian Splats, or NeRFs from imagery or video.
  • Experience using AI/ML methods for 3D reconstruction or camera calibration.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or Python and experience with sound software development practices.
  • Strong publication record in top-tier conferences or publications such as CVPR, ICCV, and ECCV.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve difficult imagery-based technical challenges with an innovative approach.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual restrictions.
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance if not already cleared.
  • Include a detailed publication list in the resume or CV.
  • Experience with geospatial coordinate systems and transformations (preferred).
