Description

  • Own the full sales cycle for small to medium-sized inbound leads across the West and Midwest.
  • Prospect for new partners and build a pipeline of target school networks and districts in the region.
  • Set meetings with interested customers and present the value proposition of Khan Academy district partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Districts Operations to improve processes for vetting, engaging, and tracking inbound leads.
  • Coordinate with regional and district sales leaders on target partner lists, special projects, conferences, pitch meetings, and training sessions.
  • Track, report, and manage lead and sales activity in Salesforce and weekly sales and marketing meetings.
  • Support the contracting process for school and small district partnerships.
  • Work with marketing and sales enablement to improve campaigns, collateral, lead collection flows, and pitch materials.
  • Partner with Success and Professional Learning teams to ensure smooth handoff and implementation for new partners.
  • Help create proposals and respond to RFPs, RFQs, data privacy agreements, and vendor documentation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or professional learning roles.
  • At least 1 year of experience partnering with U.S. schools or school districts.
  • Understanding of the K-12 education market and EdTech providers.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand stakeholder needs across the school district ecosystem and tailor messaging accordingly.
  • Experience with inbound and outbound lead generation and sales pipeline management.
  • Background as a former classroom teacher or administrator is preferred.
  • Experience using a CRM to track sales stages, with Salesforce preferred.
  • Understanding of district procurement processes, including submitting bids for RFPs/RFQs, is a nice to have.
  • Must be willing to travel about 10–15% of the time and cover PT/MT hours if based in the Central time zone.
