Description

  • Own the full sales cycle for inbound leads across the Northeast.
  • Prospect and build a pipeline of small to medium-sized school networks and districts.
  • Set meetings with interested customers and present district partnership offerings.
  • Coordinate with District Operations to improve lead vetting, engagement, and tracking processes.
  • Work with the Director of School Partnerships and Northeast sales leads to identify target partners.
  • Support regional special projects such as state-level initiatives, conferences, pitch meetings, and teacher/admin training sessions.
  • Track, report, and manage pipeline status in Salesforce and weekly sales and marketing meetings.
  • Assist with contracting for school and small district partnerships.
  • Partner with Marketing and sales enablement to improve campaigns, collateral, lead collection flow, and pitch materials.
  • Coordinate with Success, Professional Learning, Kids, Assessments, and external partners to support onboarding, services, and implementation.
  • Help create proposals and responses for RFPs, RFQs, Data Privacy Agreements, and vendor documentation.
  • Relay partner feedback to product teams to help inform and prioritize the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or professional learning roles.
  • At least 1 year of experience partnering with U.S. schools or school districts.
  • Understanding of the K-12 education market and EdTech providers.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to stakeholders across the school district ecosystem, from teachers to superintendents.
  • Experience with inbound and outbound lead generation and sales pipeline management.
  • Background as a former classroom teacher or administrator.
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively to provide realistic partner solutions.
  • Experience using a CRM to track sales pipeline stages; Salesforce preferred.
  • Understanding of district procurement processes, including experience submitting bids for RFPs/RFQs, is a nice-to-have.
  • Passion for education and alignment with Khan Academy’s mission.
  • Proven cross-cultural competency and commitment to inclusion and belonging.
  • Willingness to travel roughly 10-15% of the time.
  • Ideal candidate should reside in the Eastern time zone.
