Description

  • Research, evaluate, develop, and implement security solutions and standards aligned with industry best practices.
  • Ensure technical solutions support the company’s business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain and operate network security tools and services in production environments.
  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise security solutions across development, test, and production environments.
  • Provide technical security expertise and support to other business units and the broader network security team.
  • Perform security audits and testing to assess configurations, policies, procedures, and compliance.
  • Recommend and propose policy and procedure changes to keep pace with business requirements and best practices.
  • Use tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Strata/Panorama to support standards and automation efforts.
  • Participate in the team on-call rotation.
  • Troubleshoot highly technical network security issues and work toward final resolution.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience with network security processes, policies, and solutions.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with firewalls, specifically Palo Alto and PANW cloud services.
  • Extensive experience with VPNs, including site-to-site and remote-access configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and network security principles, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, applications, packet inspection, and forensics methodologies.
  • Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
  • Experience with scripting to automate repetitive or routine tasks, especially Python.
  • Experience building and maintaining network security solutions in a large, distributed enterprise environment.
  • Highly skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred certifications: SANS GIAC certifications.
  • Preferred certifications: PANW PCNSE or PCNSA certifications.
